Early Voter Ballot Request Forms
- Mail-in voter registrations must be marked by Oct. 21. Registrations close at motor vehicle offices and state agencies on Oct. 28.
- In-person voter registration at county election offices ends at 6 p.m. Oct. 28. This includes registration changes such as updating an address.
- Registered voters can make requests until 6 p.m. Oct. 28 for early-voting ballots to be mailed. Nov. 7 is the deadline for in-person early voting at county election offices.
- The close of polls on Nov. 8 is the deadline for the return of early-voting ballots, including ballots returned by mail.

Early Voter Ballot Request Forms
Nebraska is a “no-excuse” state, meaning any registered voter may request an early-voting (absentee) ballot, and is not required to provide a reason.
How to Apply.
You can apply for an early-voting ballot by contacting your county election office in person, by mail or by fax. You can print an online early-voting application, complete the form, and then mail, fax or scan/take a picture of your application and email it to your county election office. The last day for an early-voting application to be received is 6 p.m. on the second Friday preceding the election.
