Where does funding from our schools come from and where does it go?
Public schools in Nebraska rely heavily on local property taxes for funding. State funding for our schools has decreased as a percentage of total funding in the last few years. The NSEA believes state funding for our schools must be increased.Support from parents, teachers, students and, indeed, the entire community is essential to ensuring quality public schools for every child. Research shows good schools are a great investment!
